This one room school house dates back to the 1800's.
It was used as a school until 1948, then it was home for a while to the Burlington Library and the Historical Society's country store.
In 1999, as an Eagle Scout project, Richard Miller Jr. repaired windows and doorsills and repainted the old school house.
If you peek in the windows you can see the one room school house still set up with all of its wooden desks and note the dunce cap on a chair in the corner!!
In September during Tavern Days the Burlington Historical Society has an open house at the school. There is also a sign that says that the school house is open on Sundays 1-3 but doesn't list if this is year-round or only during certain months.
Cache is a small pill bottle, bring a pen. There is a lot of tree debris in the area, re-cover cache well after finding and signing in.
