Bunjil: Unfortunately, I cannot see any information that indicates that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement. Therefore as advised previously, the cache is being de-listed (Archived) to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains what needs to happen with a Disable cache.

Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center article here.

Geocache Description:

Old Stock Yards - Barooga State Forest

Welcome to my 48th cache hide... After placing the Barooga Kiddies Cache, i continued on my drive into the Barooga State Forest. Not to be discouraged by the bogging i received (see my Smithers Beach cache GC2RA3W) i decided to venture forth again, and was rewarded by stumbling on this.... An abandoned and unused stock yard.

Imagine my surprise, i love these sorts of old structures, but do you think i can find a scrap of information on who used to use it? Not a chance. Even some of the older locals didn't even know it was out here. I will continue digging, and if i find out anything, i will upload it to the cache page.

It is actually quite large, as you can see by the pics and in person after you visit it.

Further to that, i was carrying with me a new prototype custom hide. One of two similar (twin) prototypes. All hand made and hand worked. This was the perfect place to deploy it. It is a log only BYO pen.

A word of warning, although at the time of placing the cache, the track was dry, and i could access it in my 4WD, there were a few trees down over the track in, which i had to go around. See how far you want to brave it if you have a 2WD. A high clearance 2WD will be ok, unless it is muddy, then you will need some bipedal action or a 4WD. If you have to walk, it is very nice in this area. just watch out for the snakes. The terrain rating reflects the time of placement.

Kids can help you search, but is a bit harder a hide, once again as with all my warnings about the Aussie bush, adults please use common sense Re: Snakes, Spiders (I know you will....) Check out the area for them and be with them on the find if you are going to let them help with this one. Anywhere in Australia, snakes are always a threat. HAVE FUN EVERYONE. ....

As this is a prototype, some feedback on the difficulty rating, placement, engineering of the cache, etc would be great.
