The Log That Escaped The Logsplitter # 1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Red 07Z: I enjoyed having this one out as it had quite a few favorite points and almost as many DNFs as Finds due to being tricky. I'm going to archive this and maybe hide something similar somewhere else this summer.

Geocache Description:

A cache located on Thorn Hill Trail and dedicated to those logs who have avoided becoming firewood.

Park in Knob Hill Park and cross the street and proceed up gravel trail. Bring a pen of your favorite color along.

Here’s the story of some logs who escaped splitting.
It all started in a forest of pines and oaks.
All of them lush and green.

Here's the story of an oak tree,
Who was bringing up three very lovely saplings.
All of them had leaves of green, like their elders,
The youngest one just sprouting.

Here's the story, of a machine named Timberwolf TW-7,
Who was busy with chainsaws of his own,
They were four machines, living all together,
Yet they were all ready to cut and split.

Till the one day when the tree met these machines,
And they knew it was much more than a hunch,
That this group would somehow fuel a campfire.
That's the way they almost all became firewood!
