Geocache Description:

There is a fine coral lagoon off Shiraho village of Ishigaki island. Here found are more than 120 coral species including colonies of gigantic micro atolls of porites species, more than 300 fish species and various seaweeds and grass.
WWF Japan has been involved in the conservation of the lagoon since the mid 1980s when the local government was proceeding with the 1979 plan to build Ishigaki airport by reclaiming a portion of the lagoon.
