Geocache Description:

Walk a rail trail to view a twirling Green Machine!

It isn't easy being green, but Newburyport, MA looks like it's gonna try anyway. Check out these Green Machines and the Rail Trail. See (visit link) about the Windmill and (visit link) about the Rail Trail for more information. The cache is on the rail trail with a view of the windmill. There is a large installation of Solar Panels nearby too, perhaps within walking distance of the end of the rail trail, at N42 48 145' W70 53 020'. A side trail (check signs near trailhead) leads to nearby restroom at N42 48 063' W70 52 688'. Parking at the rail trail is tricky, but there are usable spots perhaps at N42 48 141' W70 52 852' and N42 49 066' W70 52 712'. Side street parking at some point midway along the trail might be done too. There are several access points midway to the trail, though it is fenced or access is blocked on both sides for most of it's length, except at cross streets.
