This cache will bring you to the Hockanum River Linear Trail in Vernon. It's not a very large area, but it is a nice little spot tucked away behind a couple of businesses and apartment areas.
Parking is at a small lot at the trailhead. Looks like six vehicles would fit there. Follow the orange blazes away from the street. Walk past two large benches and you will see the staircase and the trail on your right. The trail gets narrow sometimes, but that adds to the adventure! The cache container is a cammo-painted plastic peanut butter jar that will hold small trade items, geocoins and small travel bugs. It is located about 5 feet from the trail after you make the U-turn. We are big believers in CITO - Cache In Trash Out. If you see any litter, please remove it and dispose of it properly --thanks!
