A nice different kind of cache just off the beten track
You will need a pen to sign this and stealth is required
Moor foot is a old gravel pit and clay pit, it is controlled by the FFA (Furness fishing association) and contains a varied amount of fish including roach, bream, perch, pike, bream and carp. The carp grow to just over 20 pound and are believed to be stocked in the late 1950’s. The road to raonahead is always busy with people using the beach area to stretch there legs and exercise there dogs etc and oaklea road always has horses traversing it coming from the local horse stables
I was once fishing this lake and a car drove in to the lake next to me!
Short stay parking is here but is still regarded as double yellow lines so be aware! Fishermen park here with no issues 99% of the year but at summer peak the area gets really busy and parking wardens strike!
