This cache is located on public property with parking available on the street west of its location. The container identified by the above coordinates is located in the City of Fairbank flood plain and is placed at the 100-year flood level. Because of the location, this cache may be temporarily unavailable during periods of high water. It will probably wash away when we hit a 500-year flood. So get this one while its still there.
The container is a camo covered pill bottle containing the logbook and a short, limited use pencil. You may want to pack an extra pencil in case the limited use pencil has expired. FTF prize is a golden coin with Millard Fillmore’s likeness on it.
All the buildings that once occupied the adjacent park were removed from the flood plain in the early 1990s allowing the City of Fairbank to create this great park with walking trails.
