A sloshy start and a steep upward climb to a beautiful eastern view.
This cache is a lock & lock container high on a ridgeline along the Will Rogers Country Centennial Trail. This twelve-plus mile Equestrian Trail system follows along a portion of the southern shore of Oologah Lake. The trail is much better suited for four-footed travelers than two-footed. If you are fortunate you will discover a trail to take you within a few feet of the cache. But oh, those last few feet!
As you sit at the cache location, pause and listen to your heart pounding, loosen your grip on the limbs and roots enough to turn around and enjoy the eastern view. Take a picture or two, as I didn't while I was perched there, and would like to add it to this cache page. You will encounter lots of thorns, bugs, poison plants, perhaps snakes and other wildlife, elevation change and a fantastic view of Oologah Lake.
Come prepared with plenty of water. Portions of the trail may not be passable after heavy rains.
Please practice CITO along the trail and remember the
