T:n silta
Vuonna 1963 Torsti lähti suorittamaan varusmiespalvelustaan ja lähtöpäivänä pikimiehet laskivat asfalttia Partalan tielle. Oli uuden ajan alku. Siihen mennessä tieolot olivat mitä olivat. Itsekin muistan kun 1963 Tampereelle mennessä tie oli mainiossa kunnossa. Muistissa vanhempien tarinat tieolojen kurjuudesta kelirikkoaikaan.

3.11.2003 the Transport Minister of Finland Leena Luhtanen opened the re-constructed Route of Highway 9 between Orivesi and Jyväskylä. You can imagine the feelings of Minister when you walk along the bridge. If you are lucky enough, you can meet Torsti and he can tell you more about the history of these routes.
Rules of distance are not excactly correct, but the final point is so remarkable you can find it without troubles.
The coordinates point you to the Memorial of Soviet Prisoners of the WW2 in Jämsä. The prisoners built the railway between Orivesi and Jämsä. You have to see the number of persons the statue is made for.
