Geocache Description:

Welcome to Jenny-Springers 'Confluence'

Jenny and her owner regularly go walkies along the banks of the Allander Water, and the River Kelvin, and Jenny sometimes goes for a swim (not recommended for oomans) !!

The cache is just around the corner from the point of confluence between the Allander Water and the River Kelvin. On a summers day it's quite a peaceful joining... but during or after heavy rain it can be quite a torrent !

Cache is a small lock 'n lock container with logbook, cache note and a few small items from previous adventures. Please bring your own pen. Small swaps will fit in the cache. Please ensure the cache is well covered when you leave.

Getting to the cache is easy, it's along the Allander/Kelvin Walkway. Closest spot to park is Dobbies garden centre / The Tickled Trout pub (a good place for lunch, but bring your credit cards !). Cross the road outside, walk along the pavement until you see the stile on your left and the sign for the walkway on the opposite side of the road - cross back over the road and through the gap in the hedge to join the walkway. Please be careful crossing the road, particularly if with young children or dogs.

The rest of the path is along the river bank, there are a few small stiles to cross (one is in disrepair, so care is required). Other options include walking or cycling from Milngavie, Glasgow, or anywhere else along the banks of the River Kelvin - it's a great walk on a sunny day, wear boots if raining or recently has been - it can get muddy.

CITO Opportunity: There is quite a lot of rubbish around leading up to the cache area... it'd be good if you could bring a carrier bag and take some of it away - lets get this path cleaned up a little !

Happy caching, have fun ! :-)
