Geocache Description:

3rd of Eight.

Bragging rights for First To Find (FTF) go to whoever walks the entire route and finds all eight caches in one attempt.

This is the Third of my first series.

I would like to dedicate this cache to my step father Gordon who passed away on 14th March 2011. This little fishing pool was a favourite place.

It is a walk of about six miles from Donisthorpe Church to Measham, Willesley, Oakthorpe and back to Donisthorpe. Mostly public footpaths and woodland walks. Easy going at this time of year but would get rather muddy through the winter I think.
I was looking for somewhere that had no previous caches, however if you travel slightly off route their are several others to be found.
I think most of them could be reached by car and a small walk but the walk around is much more enjoyable.
All the caches are click lock containers, filled with goodies for the kids to swap. There should be room in three of them for small trackables.
Part of the route is near the motor way embankment and although there is a fence dogs could get through it so please keep them on a lead near here.

Please enjoy and let me know what you think.

Thanks to Mr Dennis Cavanagh for his permission as the land owner, for allowing me to place the cache.

To get from this cache to the fourth in the series you will need to leave the pond back onto New Street. Turn left towards the traffic lights then left again towards Ashby. After a couple of hundred meters you will see a bench and footpath sign on your left. This will put you back on the right track.
There is no path out from near the cache, I'm afraid its one way in and one same way out, via the drive off New Street.
