Najstarsia správa o kostole je z roku 1354, v sucasnosti je vyhlaseny za kulturnu pamiatku. Jeho ranogoticke casti pochádzaju z konca 13. storocia. Prestavany bol v 14. a 15. storoci, pristavovany bol v storoci 16-tom a upravovany v druhej polovici 18. storocia V kostole najdete goticke detaily a fresky. Nastenne malby pochadzaju od Jozefa Hanulu. Budova fary je ranobarokova, z druhej polovice 17. storocia. Tento kostol patri do trojice rannogotickych kostolov v ruzomberskom okrese. Kazdemu z nich je venovana cache. Najstarsim z nich je kostolik v Martinceku, bohatou historiou a legendami o templaroch je opradeny kostolik Vsechsvatych v Ludrovej.
