This cache is located on a short walk in the Mayfield Village Wetlands.

The Wetland Preserve could easily be described as Mayfield Village’s best environmental effort. In 1998, a group now known as the Mayfield Village Wetlands Committee, comprised of citizens, naturalists, school officials and Village administrative leaders, was formed to manage the wetland area located between Parkview Pool and Progressive’s campus and determine how the preserve can be enhanced for the future. Since 1998, the Wetlands Committee has preserved and maintained the 25-acre wetland along with approximately 10 acres of adjacent meadowland. The Committee actively manages native plants and wildlife, controls invasive plant growth, and has integrated recreational and educational activities into the Wetland Preserve.
