Personally I always find benches kind of officious, as though they are saying "Oi you, sit! Stop what you are doing and sit down and look at this view right now. Don't argue, it is a nice view because I say it is, because I am a bench and benches always overlook nice views. So sit!". Well this bench does indeed have a nice view, and is next to a nice ruined building too, but somehow I doubt it gets much traffic. Deliberately placed so you can either pick this up as part of a nice walk from Cregneash to The Sound, else a quick park-and-cache. Park with care in the summer though as big tour coaches and double decker buses need to get past on the road.
