This is a reissue of an archived cache(previous finders are
welcome to log it again). Parking available at the Alston Park's
north lot. Depending on the route you take, a moderate hike with
some decent elevation changes may be needed to reach the cache
site. Please close the container tightly to keep it dry and replace
it securely in its hiding spot.
In the vicinity of the cache site, joggers and hikers have reported
witnessing an apparition in the early evening hours. The ghostly
figure appears to drag an object from one side of the hill, across
the rocks at the bottom, and up the other side. There is no
definite story to provide a reference for this figure, only
conjecture. One theory is that the spirit belongs to a deceased
hunter and the object he is dragging is his kill, possibly a deer.
Another theory is that the spirit belongs to a pioneer who was
wounded in a fight with Native Americans and the object he is
dragging may be a fellow wounded settler. Did you just hear
footsteps ?
Congratulations to TheSparkyTeam for first to find !
