Geocache Description:

Peanut butter jar in FULL CAMO,
NOT AT
the above cache page coordinates (but they are stage 1), and you can only get them if your phone is smart (& possibly other handhelds that have similar features).

Please watch children when you are walking along the canal - plenty of parking very close to stage one coords, but don't try for this one in the dark, you'll attract attention at stage one.

Won't tell you how many stages, but not too many.

I first got a smart phone back in Oct, and I can't believe how useful it is! I went a long time being a "papered" cacher, and now that I'm o-fish-ally paperless, it's improved my find:DNF ratio greatly. I also like discovering new apps. FYI, whenever I cache, the phone is a back-up (still like trying to find them without any hints first), and on my hikes since Oct. I've still been more comfortable using a paper map, like I have for all these years.

It took two different apps for me to make it through the stages of this cache, but I imagine there's one out there that might be all you need. If you want to know which I used, email me.

Post-production note: In no way did I intend for this hide to be exclusionary, but for obvious reasons knew it would be difficult for some to find. I'm a firm believer in "not all caches are meant to be found by all cachers," and the fact that I have 0 Where-I-go finds attests to that. If and when I want to get one, I can ask another cacher with the right GPS, or even find the app that I hear works in the same way. Just like anyone can find another cacher with a device that will work on this hide. Including me! I'm more than willing to meet potential finders and lend my Droid. Can't drop everything and meet you right away at this point in my life, but arrangements can gladly be made. As to the notes posted in the first couple days, I know they're tongue-in-cheek (I hope!), and that retaliatory caches only add to the fun of caching! So do your best, if you consider this hide my gauntlet to your face.

Congrats to Vaporlock for FTF!
