View of Skip's House

The location that the coordinates will send you to is the location of a place that about 30 hippies once called home. This area is owned by a hippie named Fitz. The hippies mostly lived in this area around the 1970’s. The house you will see belonged to the last hippie to live here, Skip. Skip was described as an eccentric hermit hippie. Skip’s mode of transportation was on a Moped handcrafted from a bike and a motor. Skip rode the moped to Georgia and back at least once. Unfortunately, Skip is no longer living. On a trip down to Georgia to visit his sister, Skip’s moped broke down. Police say he pulled a gun on a cop and was shot, but the locals say he never carried a gun. We still to this day do not know how Skip died. The locals were irate about the situation and wanted to fight the case. However, they did not have enough funding for the case, but were able to bring his body back to these mountains of Virginia to be buried on Middle Mountain. Some of Skip’s memory still lives on because in this house Skip built two boats. The boats were made by hand and when electricity was needed, a generator hooked up to a bike was used. The first boat built was a Kayak that was put into the Straight Forks River nearby and floated all the way to the Chesapeake Bay. The second boat Skip built is inside. The sails are found around the back of the house. Feel free to go inside and check out the boat and the rest of Skip’s home. Watch for glass, nails and be careful of weak floorboards. The man who lived here was at peace with the world, so please be respectful of the surroundings. Enjoy!
