I thought I found the perfect cache location. I beautiful hollowed
out tree with a hole up high and a bigger hole down low. The plan
was to drop a small object tied with fishing line through the top
hole and run it all the way to the bottom. Then I was going to tie
a larger object to the fishing line and pull it back up and have a
network of hooks and pad-eyes to manipulate to get the cache to
drop. That was the plan anyway. Then I was Squirreled! When
I dropped the small item in the top hole, I heard a very unhappy
squirrel inside it barking at me. Apparently he didn't like having
a matchstick container dropped on his head. Needless to say I am
still looking for my perfect hollow tree.
The Cache is located in Lake Shelby Picnic Area in the Gulf
State Park. There is a nominal fee for entrance, fishing, and boat
launch use. You are looking for a camouflaged medicine bottom. It
is not in the top hole
