Geocache Description:

Nice easy Eclipse Tin Cache but can be missed in the blink of and eye.Need a writing stick. Parking is easier on the northbound side of the road.

Mike Moore and Frank Kranz dug this well by hand in 1882 to a depth of approximately 10 meters at a cost of 23 shillings and six pence. The well was a watering place for early stock routes and also served as a domestic water supply for pioneering families. The original trough and slabs used to line the well were made from locally grown Bloodwood. Originally, the well was fitted with a windlass and bucket.
