Geocache Description:

This is a micro cache with log book and pencil inside.

Welcome to Peone Cemetary!

I have been a plot digger here since 1999, and yes that means I dig graves by hand with a shovel. I'm sure your next question is "6 feet deep?" and the answer is no. Since caskets are now, by law, placed inside concrete vaults, they only require 2 feet of dirt covering them. This means I have to dig about 4 & half feet deep. Vault sizes vary, so I usually have to make the hole 8ft long by 3 & half ft wide. I can usually complete the dig in about 2 & a half hours. I haven't kept count, but I would estimate that I've dug around 30 to 40 plots here.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the search and hopefully its a sunny day with a beautiful view of Mt. Spokane and Greenbluff :D
