A relatively short , but quite steep, there and back hike/ bike to the top of Cairn na Leitre. Hiking follow direct steped path . Mtn Biking follow Great Glen Way/ forest roads.
Best parking at Abriachan Forest Walks carpark, 1st left after small lochan.
You can do a large amount of circular walks & cycles around here.
Translating to 'The hill of the old women' in Gaelic, Cairn na Leitre is a short walk to a summit that gives spectacular 360 degrees views & cracking sunsets/ rises.
Spectacular vistas to be had North to Ben Wyvis, West towards Meall Fuar-mhonaidh and the Affric Hills, East towards Fort George and beyond and south over loch Ness.
