Geocache Description:

Lee Hall Bank Park- a local nature reserve.

Magnetic key holder, now replaced with magnetic cannister. A more romantic view of the site can be seen on the Bolton Archives website dating from the early 1900s. From a wooden balcony, the stone bridge and culvert could be viewed. See link above.

The start of the path is on your right as you enter Lee Hall Bank Park from Park Road, a stone marks the zig zag path. The cache is on this side of the brook.

Lee Hall Bank Park in its Victorian life was an important venue for relaxation for the people of Westhoughton. It had a bandstand and a large children's sandpit. Now it is a nature reserve and is listed on the BBC's website 'Breathing Places'.
