Geocache Description:

Alderman Tommy Patton Memorial Park, in east Belfast, is also commonly known as Inverary Playing Fields.

The park, which is named after a local councillor, offers sports facilities, including a bowling green and pitches, Model Airplane Flying and a children's playground. For wildlife enthusiasts, there are woodland trails and, in early summer, an abundance of wildflowers.

The Park is very close to the Shorts Bombardier factory and the George Best City Airport. Close to the Cache site is the home of Shorts football club, thier ground is adequately named Aircraft Park.

The Cache is located approximately 20m Meters from the pathway that runs along the circumference of the park, The thin cache is around 10 centimetres long and is well camouflaged amongst the natural surroundings.

Hint, Look out for a small RAF spitfire badge on a tree to help you in your travels.
