Luke's Diner Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

bbrimacombe: I was in the area today so I decided to pick up the cache container and archive the cache. Thanks to all 38 finders and anyone who attempted to solve this puzzle over the last 11+ years.

Here's the solution: The restaurant that was located at 67 rue Wellington in Hull had previously been a hardware store until August 1995 (https://www.historymuseum.ca/cmc/exhibitions/hist/hull/rw_65_ie.html). Luke's Diner on Gilmore Girls had also been a hardware store that Luke's father ran until Luke turned it into a diner (https://screenrant.com/gilmore-girls-lukes-diner-easter-eggs/). I love learning about the history of Hull and when I discovered that the history of this building was similar to that of Luke's Diner, I thought it was perfect for a geocaching puzzle.

I've included a few google street view images of the building over the years. The last available image is from May 2021.

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES.

It is a nano.

In order to find this cache, you must figure out what makes Luke's Diner special and find a building on the island of Hull with the same characteristic. Next, you want to go to this location and while standing at the stop sign closest to the main entrance, project the waypoint a distance of 492.87 metres and a bearing of 112.5 degrees true north.
