Geocache Description:

English: Very quite place along the Cornia River with small waterfalls (except in summer, when the river is dried out). We often come here for a short walk and want to show that place to as many cachers as possible.

During spring the river Cornia carries a lot of water and it is not easy to pass the river from the north (The street goes through the river). We recommend an approach from the south via Cafaggio.

In summer, there are no waterfalls, as there is no water in the river. You can then however walk down in the dry riverbed. You should be able to spot some pheasant. With a bit of luck, you will also be able to spot a porcupine.

You can park your car nearby at N43 02.314, E10 40.752.

Deutsch: Sehr schönes Plätzchen entlang des Cornia Baches, der dem Tal "Val di Cornia" den Namen gibt.
Im Frühling hat der Fluss recht viel Wasser und es ist manchmal recht abenteuerlich, den Fluss mit dem Auto zu durchqueren.
Im Sommer ist das Flussbeet ausgetrocknet und es bleiben nur noch entliche grosse Pfützen übrig. Diese ziehen allerdings sehr viele Tiere an.
Mit ein wenig Glück seht ihr hier Fasane, wenn ihr dem trockenen Flussbeet entlang läuft. Mit ein wenig mehr Glück, kreuzt ein Stachelschwein euren Weg oder ihr findet wenigstens einige Stachel.
