A cache hidden near the remains of the Mount Kidd Fire Lookout.
The fire lookout on the slopes of Mount Kidd was active from 1982 until 1992. Now, after being torn down in 1997, all that remains are the foundations and the incredible view of the Kananaskis Valley an impressive panorama of summits.
Park in the public parking for the Mount Kidd Manor in the Kananaskis Village. From the gated trailhead start along the Kovach Loop. After passing the intersection with the Aspen Trail continue until you take first a left and then right bend. Shortly after the right bend there is a cairn and trail heading left. Take this to the top.

Please note that the meadows are noted for bear activity, especially during berry season, so take all precautions necessary.
The cache itself is hidden at the base of a tree in a small clump of smaller trees. See spoiler photo for more help.
