Cache in a public park in Dhaka, Bangladesh, commonly known as Gulshan Tank Park.
President Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed Park, commonly known as Gulshan Tank Park is a public park in the Gulshan 2 area of Dhaka that has been managed and maintained by the community with the Dhaka City Corporation DCC developing the infrastructures and arranging light.
The park is accessible from road 83 and road 85 and it sports signboards with diagrams and social messages, such as the significance of walking and harmful effects of smoking. The tracks that run throughout have marks to indicate distance – two laps around the park equal 1.12 km and there’s even a signboard that posts the approximate number of calories one burns per lap. It is a safe place for both women and children to gather, with a big pond, both flat and elevated walkways, a separate play area for children, and a basketball court. You can find serenity here in the evenings with the fresh breeze, lush greenery, the sight of different birds, a deer and ducks or swans. Even at night the lights stay on late, so you can comfortably make a few laps to shed some weight and stay healthy. During a power failure, if you are lucky to be out on a moonlit night, you will have no difficulty in locating the tracks.
Many joggers and walkers frequent the park especially in the late afternoon/early evening hours so, beware of muggles.
