Geocache Description:

Cache is a bison

From this boat landing if you look to the SW you can see Turtle Island. It is a private island and Mrs Sloughfoot can remember when it was a boys camp. She claims it was used by the "big city kids" that came to the camp and the Pardeeville kids used to sneak out to the island and ride their burros, which usually dumped them in the sand burrs. The island is connected to the shore via a bridge. The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Sara Kehrli of the Wisconsin DNR, Poynette Office. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form.
