A cache hidden along the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. www.hvrt.org
This cache is a hand painted water bottle that will blend with the surroundings, but is very winter friendly. You can find it just off the pavment of the rail trail. It's a good size, but the opening will restrict what you can leave.
This cache brings you next to an old, abandoned quarry. I'm not sure how old, but it's fun to imagine that some of the earth and rock excavated here may have been used to build the rail bed that you are traveling on.
