Denne cachen tar deg innom forskjellige bunkere, skytestillinger etc, på skolefjellet på Hessa i Ålesund.
Cachen kan passe godt for eldre barn, da den tar turen innom mange spennende steder.
Men PASS GODT PÅ DE UNDERVEIS, da det er flere steder der man kan falle ned flere meter og skade seg skikkelig. Noen av stedene du skal innom er gamle bunkere/skyttergraver som er kamuflert/overgrodd slik at de er vanskelig å se. Et uhell her kan få alvorlige følger, så pass på!!!
Lommelykt er ikkje nødvendig, men anbefales hvis man vil utforske bunkerene underveis.
Ta gjerne en titt på den eksterne siden, for en flott beskrivelse av dette området.
Cachen består av 4 kjente lokasjoner, og 1 ukjent. De manglende tallene i kordinatene til denne får du ved å svare på noen enkle spørsmål underveis.
STAGE1: A= Vinduer i rommet i bunkeren =
STAGE2: B= Trinn i stigen =

PARKERING:
Parker ved skolen. Dette er også startpunkt for andre turer/cacher i området.
Gå tilbake gjennom rundkjøringen. Stien starter bak busskuret, til venstre for trafostasjonen/garasjen.
(Det er et bilde på den eksterne siden, som viser startpunktet).
Du må klatre litt på berget før du finner stien.
Følg stien et lite stykke frem til STAGE1, som er en skytestilling ved i enden av en skyttergrav i forbindelse med en bunker.
STAGE1:
Finn skytestillingen langs stien, og gå inn i skyttergraven som fører innover i fjellet.
Før du igjen kommer ut i friluft, har du passert et lite rom på din høyre side.
Antall vinduer i dette rommet er A i oppgaven.
STAGE2:
Dette er en skytestilling plassert med god utsikt over skolen og området rundt.
Jeg anbefaler dere å følge stien opp bakken forbi punktet, for så å gå tilbake til stillingen ovenfra (det er og mulig å klatre rett opp til stillingen nedenfra).
VÆR FORSIKTIG HER!! Det går en skyttergrav skjult i terenget ut til stillingen, denne vil du IKKE ramle nedi da det er høyt ned..
Følg skyttergraven innover til du kommer til en metallstige på venstre hånd, og klatre opp denne for å fortsette turen.
Antall trinn i stigen er B i oppgaven.
STAGE3:
I dette området er det inngang til 2 ulike rom/bunkere, i den ene kan du gå igjennom til en skytestilling med utsikt over Ålesund. På denne bunkeren er det en eller flere piper, antallet er C i oppgaven.
STAGE4:
Like etter toppunktet på turen, vil du komme til en stor gul metalltank.
På denne er det igjen rester av en stige, som leder opp på toppen av tanken (du trenger ikkje klatre opp på tanken).
Antall trinn som er igjen i denne stigen er D i oppgaven.
Du vil også oppdage at det er noen rør som går ut fra tanken langs bakken.
Antall rør er E i oppgaven, og du har fått alle tallene du trenger for å finne cachen.

This cache takes you on a trip to visit several bunkers, gun positions and other locations on skolefjellet on Hessa in Ålesund.
The cache could be exiting for older kids, since you get to discover many exiting places.
But YOU NEED TO LOOK AFTER THEM DURING THE TRIP, since there are many places where you could fall several meters down and seriously hurt yourself. Some of the locations are old bunkers/trenches and they are camouflaged/overgrown and hard to see. An accident here could have serious consequences, so be careful!!
A flashlight is not necessary, but recomended if you want to explore the bunkers along the route.

The cache has 4 known locations, and one unknown. To find the missing numbers in the location for this last one, you will have to answer some questions along the way.

The cache is located at the following coordinates:

Swap the letters with numbers, using the following info:

PARKING:
Park by the school. This is also the startingpoint for other tours/caches in the area.
Walk back to the roundabout. The path begins behind the busstop, to the left of the garage/eletrical station.
(there is a picture on the external page that shows this area).
Climb a few meters on the rocks, to find the path leading to STAGE1. This is an old gun position at the end of a trench, connected to a bunker.
STAGE1:
An old gunsite with a trench leading into the bunker behind it.
Enter the trench, and pass a room on your right on your way through the bunker.
Number of windows in this room = A in the equation.
STAGE2:
A gunsite with a great view of the school and the area round it.
I recomend that you follow the path up the hill and then go back down to it (it is also possible to climb directly up to the site).
BE CAREFUL HERE!!! There is a trench that is hidden in the terrain on the way to the site, that you DO NOT want to fall into...
From the site enter the trench and walk until you reach a metal ladder on your left, that you can climb up to continue your trip.
Number of steps in this ladder = B in the equation.
STAGE3:
In this area you can enter 2 different rooms/bunkers, one of them you can walk trough to a gunsite with a view of Ålesund.
On this bunker there are a number of chimneys, this number is C in the equation.
STAGE4:
Just after the summit you will encounter a large yellow metal tank.
There is the remains of a ladder, leading to the top of the tank (you do not need to go to the top!).
Number of steps in ladder = D in equation.
You will also find that there are some pipes coming out from the tank along the ground.
Number of pipes = E in equation, and you have all the numbers you'll need to find the cache.
