Have you ever noticed that animal droppings often resemble chocolate covered almonds? Well our kids did and that is how our cache got its name. This area is obviously frequented by moose, deer, bunnies and numerous other little creatures that leave behind "chocolate covered almonds".
There are two ways to reach this cache. We encourage you to try the little bit longer route. Take TWP road 352 (The Cottonwood) west of Innisfail, turn south on RR 25 and then west on TWP 350. This route takes you for a scenic country drive past numerous bluebird houses. Our children where enthralled by the vivid color of these small birds and it was well worth the little detour to see them. There are also many beautiful views to the west.
Parking is located at a sign and gate marking The Dickson Dam Site 7 Conservation area. The walk is fairly mild and all terrain stroller accessible up to the last 20 meters. A great place to bring the kids and the dog!
The first to find can enjoy a Timmies stop on us! Have fun and enjoy!
