A brief, mostly flat walk in Sierra Azul out to a wonderful,
exposed overlook. This is a great spot. Dress appropriately for the
weather and watch for critters (snakes, etc.) depending on the
season.
Since 2006 this cache was the final for my
Bachelor of Puzzleology series. It was very well-received but
eventually I decided to archive it rather than deal with any "ALR"
rules issues. Now it's a simple Traditional ammo can in a great
location.
Parking for 2-3 cars is available at the pullout just before the
SA08 gate. Cars not parked fully off the paved road may be
ticketed. There is poison oak in the area but you don't need to
get close to any to get the cache.
