Miercurea Ciuc este tara sporturilor de iarna. Echipa de hochei este renumita si peste hotare, iar patinoarul acoperit "Vákár Lajos" a devenit simbolul orasului, si este cautat în tot parcursul anului. Sub cupola acestei institutii au fost organizate mai multe campionate mondiale, în tribune sunt aproape 2000 de locuri. Grupul de statuete din fata patinoarului este opera sculptorului Torös Gábor. În spatele cladirii este un patinoar pentru patinaj de viteza, fiind în aer liber deocamdata functioneaza numai iarna.
Cutia este ascunsa pe aleea principala ce duce inspre intrarea in patinoar.
