The Nickel Plate Road (NKP) as it was known in the heyday of the railroads is now what we have come to know and love as the MCT Nickel Plate Trail.
The abandoned railroad bridges, track, and timbers are all that is left of this storied railroad line that carried freight between New York, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Illinois as part of the New York, Chicago, and St. Louis Railroad.
Enjoy this geocache and reminisce of the days of the old railroads. Have fun.
