I do
not know of any legal way to get to this cache location except from
the river. If you attempt a land based journey you must avoid
the active railroad tracks and railroad
property.
This cache will take you along the Schuykill river to a mysterious
boat dock on the south shore. I say mysterious as I don't know who
built it or why. There seems no logical reason for it to be here.
It is not a very good dock either, pretty old and worn out. Make
sure you look it over good as you approach it.
Step off the dock to the first stage. There you will look for a
zip tie on the anchor wire. It will have a tag with a
number.
That number will tell you how many feet away the cache is. Make
your way upstream until you are that many feet away from the first
stage and find the cache.
The container is a camouflaged decon kit. These have a tendency to
leak if not closed properly. Please take care with it.
The original contents include the log sheet and pen, some Chuckee Cheese tokens, a pressed penny from a Phillies game, an Explorist GC Geocoin that I have carried since I started caching and a new TB being release in the cache.
