Garrison Run is almost completely tubed under the City of Erie. It begins just across the border in Millcreek Township. At the city, it is situated east of the Mercyhurst College campus eastward to Davison Road. From this area it runs north.
At US 20 Garrison Run narrows to the area between Ash Street and Parade Street. It then turns East to around 21/McKinley Ave and parallels the Eastside connector of the Bayfront highway North and part of Garrison Run diverts into the Millcreek tube.
The rest of the sub wateshed flows above ground north from East 5th and Bayfront to just south of Port Access Road. A spring in the sub-watershed was unearthed and diverted during construction in 2007 of the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home dementia and Alzheimer's unit at East 3rd Street between Ash Street and Reed Street.
Park at the provided coordinates. There is off road parking and the area is plowed in the winter. The parking area can be accessed from the east end of the Soldiers and Sailors Home.
Please use suggested parking or the like. There is no reason to cross the Bayfront highway or adjacent tracks. Fencing and steep hillside prohibit access. Please be courteous, clean and respectful of the area.
Please use stealth when retrieving the cache. Please rehide the cache at least as good as you found it.
