Geocache Description:

the cache is hidden close to the top of the avalanche peak at the "crossroad" (orange and yellow marker) avalanche peak track and scott track...its a official 4h hike (start is arthur's pass village) to the top and take this time, because its a hard track and do it just by fine weather. the best informations do you get in the doc centre in the village.

the cache itself is pretty easy to find but you must go up to exactly 1800m to find the cache ;)...

That is my first hidden Cache ever and then in this beautiful country...;)...

the cache is a small 400ml container...so you have some space for small things and also some coins...in the cache is just a logbook, a pen, a plaster for blisters ;) and a combined binded if someone needs it ;)...

i had hidden the cache on my 2 day tramp around the arthur's pass village...i went up from the village - the scotts track (really good views) in 3 hours...had lunch by best weather at the cache's place ;)...then i went up to the top and went over a long ridge to a saddle where i could go down to the river bet...be careful if you want to do this...its pretty dangerous and catch up the best informations from the doc centre...i stayed overnight in the crow hut (10 bunks) and gone back to the village at the next day through the river bet ;)...you have amazing views over the alps, the crow glacier and all the over mountains and ridges ;)...

Note: because i cant have a look everytime and my homeplace is aprrox 18000km away ;)...Grandalf has a look as volunteer for my cache ;)...

Please add a pic from the top :)
