This time was only a quick visit with only time for a regular
kash. I don found a nice small mountain to climb and it starts from
the same parking of our second kash. Cross Thompkins Bridge Road,
and take the old road/trail north. At the Bike trail sign take the
single track steep trail off to the right and start climbing, go
right at the first junction.
Big Bubba couldn't join me this time. Last time he didnt make it
and I figgured he was in trouble and hiding out. Boy wuz I wrong!
You ain't gunna believe this but Big Bubba's liquor business is now
legit and worth big bucks!
I dont now how it happened but Bubba don teamed up with two well
to do hot shot Harvard MBS's to start a new business. Most of the
Tennessee folks figured the most likely placel for Bubba's picture
wuz on the post office wall. But nope there he was on the cover of
"Business Week". On both sides of Bubba were his two partners in
expensive suits and Italian shoes leaning againts their new fancy
Mercedes-Benz cars parked in front of the new "Big Bubba Bodine's
Best" distillery in Possum Bend Tennessee. Pictured between his
partners was Big Bubba in jeans and work boots sitting on the hood
of his new Hummer. You can take the boy out of da kountry, but yo
cant take the kountry outa da boy!
Bubba could make very good liquor with poor equipment and cheap
ingredients, so its not suprising that with the best mostest modern
equipment and bestest ingredients that he could made perhaps the
worlds best Tennesse wiskey. What with his partners being financial
and marketing geniuses the Big Bubba Bodine brand is super hot.
Bubba sayz in a couple a months he gonna be a millionaire. His
partners sez soon the Big Bubba Bodine brand will be as well known
as Jim Bean or Jack Daniels!
Its great that Cuzin Bubba don so well, kinda makes up for Cuzin
Billy Bob turning out so bad and dying from an animal attack.
There's big news for me too! A few weeks ago the Colonel
calls me into his office. He nos my enlistment wuz up in a few
months and that I wus after my dream of making it in NASCR and
maybe making Crew Chief for a race team. He sez that he don got his
dream job and maybe I could adjust my dream a little. He sez ifn I
re-enlist and come wit him that he would bump me up two pay grades
and I would be the Maintenance Crew Chief at his new command. I
couldnt refuse.
You are now looking at Senior Master Sargent Bodine of the 3600th
Air Demonstration Unit. My job is keepn the F-16's running in top
condition for the USAF Thunderbirds, as the squadron is more
commonly know. This sur beats anything NASCR could offer!
I will be mighty busy and travelin round lots, and seeing the
world, but maybe you can meet Jethro
here I kant git back to Delaware for a very long time. Its been
fun here, but this will have to be farewell. I quickly made up one
last kash before I headed out, so this will have to be Goodby
