Come join us for a wonderful celebration of the beautiful Fall Foliage. The Historic Valley Campground in North Adams, MA is where we do most of our geocaching in the After-School Program and we'd love to celebrate that with you!
New England is especially beautiful in October! When you look across Windsor Lake and see the colorful reflections on the water you can't help but feel peaceful and relaxed. During this event you will be able to enjoy the surroundings and relax with family and friends for the afternoon and into the evening.
We will begin the event with a picnic at 2 p.m. near the pavilion. There is a large grill available (but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer) to grill whatever you bring for yourself and your family. Please bring some food item to share with the group, too. Paper plates, napkins, paper cups, and plastic ware will be provided.
About 7 p.m. we will gather together at a bonfire (provided by the campground) and enjoy roasting marshmallows, making s'mores, drinking hot cocoa, and telling geocaching ghost stories. (By the way, we'll also be on the lookout for snipes!)The campground manager has graciously waived any parking fees if you say you are with the Greylock Geocaching Gang.
NOTE: If you are planning to camp that weekend, let the campground manager (Susan Landry) know you are with our Geocaching Event and she will discount the rate for you.
