I place this cache along a scenic section of the Toutle River. It is about a 1-mile hike into it from the parking coordinates.
The Toutle River runs through a rocky gorge here. From the parking coordinate, you will hike along a fairly level logging road that follows the Toutle river. This is a popular area during the summer months for access to the river for swimming and tubing.
You will need to take the 850-logging road to get to the parking coordinates. This is a gravel road that has some potholes in it. A low clearance vehicle can make it out there if they drive carefully through the area with the potholes.
