Cache located on mountain top
This cache is located on Barren Mountain in Elliotsville Township, Maine. Map 41, in the Maine Gazetteer. The 9mm ammo can is placed near the geodetic marker location:45,24.792n and 069,23.798w.
Parking is near the gate at: 45,23.996n and 069,25.345w. Procede with a 1.5 mile walk to the trail head at; 45,24.990n and 069, 25.081w. An unexpected memorial is near by. Another mile or so up the mountain leads to the Barren Slide, don’t miss this. The ammo can is not winter accessible.
