A small cache near a small old mine! Open forest with many kangaroos and wallabies.
A beautiful spot for a bush picnic especially when the creek is running - look for evidence of mining up and down the creek.
I would appreciate any information about the mine.
An easy walk of 100m from Reedy Ck Rd. Drive carefully - roads are narrow, have wash-aways and are slippery even when dry!
Dry Creek Mine is s small rarely-visited gold-mining area in Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park between Beechworth and Chiltern. As it's National Park STRICTLY NO DOGS!
It's much easier to approach from the North off Old Coach Rd - 4WD may be needed if coming from the South up Reedy Ck Rd.
Cache is a small plastic container with notebook, pencil, a few overseas coins etc.
