Geocache Description:

Micro container on a footpath, contains only the log.

Part of a series highlighting the return of a large industrial landscape to nature.
The series shows various features which were industrial in the 19th and 20th Centuries, but have now had 20+ years to return to a variegated natural state, with help from additional planting.

This location is best approached from the Straw's Bridge free car park, which is very close by. It is not suitable as a cache and dash from the busy main road alongside, although pedestrian access is available from that direction.

The container is only large enough for the log, so please bring your own pen(cil)

Enjoy the wildfowl activity on Swan Lake, and the nearby wetlands (although these are currently dried up with the fine Spring weather we're having), then feel free to explore the other caches in the series, which will take you through a variety of reclaimed landscapes.
