A small cache along the Waterfront Trail in the Thickson Woods. The trail is paved, and the cache is just a few metres off the trail.
Take the time to enjoy some of the other great caches along the trail too.
Thickson Woods is the last area of old growth white pines in the area. The British Royal Navy used the pines from here for the masts of their ships.
Thickson's Woods became the first natural area to be listed in the Ontario Nature Trust Alliance registry, and is an important stop for many species of migratory birds, as well as being home to many other animals and plants.
There are several access points for the trail, closest parking is on Thickson Road, west of the cache.
Stollers will be able to go most of the way.
Dogs are allowed on the trail, but not in the meadow.
For more information about Thickson Woods see the related web page.
