Geocache Description:

This cache brings you to the village of Omeath on the shores of Carlingford Lough

Omeath (Irish: Ó Méith) is a village in County Louth close to the border with Northern Ireland
Omeath steeped in Irish history, with spectacular scenery on the east coast of Ireland. It is roughly mid way between Dublin and Belfast, very close to the County Louth and County Armagh / County Down border. Omeath is approximately 4 miles from Carlingford and about 5 miles from Newry.

The location affords the finder spectacular views of Carlingford Lough and the Mourne Mountains. The port of Warrenpoint is very close (albeit on the other side of the Lough) and on a clear day you will be able to see Greenore Port in the distance and Haulbowline Lighthouse which is at the entrance to Carlingford Lough

The cache is a small tupperware container, please byop
This should just be a cache and dash. From the carpark coordinates the difficulty of the approach will depend on the tide, If the tide is out it is an easy approach across the beach but if it's in, you will have a more difficult scramble to avoid getting wet

This is part of a series of caches which give the finder the chance to explore the beaches and coastline of the Wee County. Please make sure to take note of the information on the log page as you will need it to find the bonus cache
