Cherry Beach Memory Traditional Cache
Dutchduane: I came out today to check on this one and found that the location is grown up with pricker weeds. Too many to trim, even though I brought clippers with me. So - the cache is being archived. It was fun while it lasted.

Back when I first started geocaching several years ago, I searched for a cache out here. At the time I had a 1996 vintage Garmin GPSII receiver. It gave 60 feet of accuracy on a good day, and 90 to 120 feet on an average day. After a series of misadventures, each one involving a drive from Lynden all the way out here, I brought my sharp-eyed son with me. He found the cache within a few minutes. That cache has been archived for several years now, but the memories remain.
This cache involves a walk of about a quarter mile down the beach from the parking area. I have put several small zip lock bags of trinkets, coins, and a token into the lock and lock container.
