This cache and location is real: The origional COUNTERFEIT CACHE at a different location was not.
Most of us like the challenge of attempting to find a cache that has been DNF'D or not found in a long time. I was honored to join a group of four very talented cachers trying to locate one of these at a different location after work.
Being the greenhorn (I didn't even have the coords loaded for this site) I attempted to liven up the search because I felt it was doomed from the beginning. Everything was stacked against us and I had struck out at that site before.
To change the tone I planted a temporary counterfeit cache directly on GZ with a small twig on top and we lured 3humphs in the general vicinity. He snagged it like a musky on a daredevil, as the pro he is.
I felt bad and expect to find it smashed on my front step or passed around like the college trophy pig or Paul Bunyan's Axe. Sorry 3humphs-this cache is mainly placed to honor you as a friend and fellow cacher. Would I do it again-you betcha my friend!
