I can see my house from here (really i can) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

weswow1: Got an email a while back from a fellow cacher letting me know his friends had purchased this property and had happened upon it while walking their new land. Lucky for me they knew of the game and contacted their friend to see if there was an actual cache there and if so could they contact me and ask it to be removed. They like the games premise but don't want the inherent risk of someone getting hurt on their property. So it is with great sadness that this caches 7&1/2 year run is thru as I removed it this evening. But fear not this cache shows no age whatsoever and will be back out in play before the end of the year. I want to thank everyone who came along over the years to find this can, I enjoyed the logs a lot. Keep on caching and we'll see you out there again soon.

Geocache Description:

CONGRATS to Starfishsaving on FTF.
Please do not attempt to retrieve this cache by parking on 422 and climbing the hillside because that is owned by someone else.

This is more of a cache geared towards kids finding it. Which i realized as i was stuffing it full of swag small and large alike. This cache is a 120mm mortar shell ammo can. Placed overlooking 422 off old route 422 with permission of my neighbors who own the property and have also permitted me to place more caches on there property around here. I use to drive up here at night to sit and relax alone on my car hood lookin up at the stars and listen to the cars driving below. Simple cache to find and get a smiley on your list. You can access the cache by taking the chestnut ridge exit of 422 and turn left under the hi-way and go about 300 yards and you will see a dirt road on the left. Up that dirt road is a billboard sign I suggest parking by but be wary because eventually the gas company is going to be constructing an compressor station up here in the field so it may require caution until construction is complete. Hope you like this cache and YES I can really see my house i grew up in from here.
