This cache is located on one of the many Crevasse Marraine
trails. The trail the cache is along in on land that was owned by
Fred Machetanz. Upon his death in 2002 the land was sold and now
belongs to the Mat-su burough and is part of a wilderness belt
extending from Kepler-Bradley to Crevasse Moraine. His art hangs in
many of the public places we visit. (banks, Library, and office
buildings) These caches are dedicated to his Memory and Art. This
trail is not on NW Trails, however I did save the tracks and plan
to submitt them. You will need to BYOP.
There are no bugs now but you will need bug spray during the
summer. These trails are great for Hiking, Mt. Biking, Cross
Country Skiing. There are many caches along these trails. Mt Bikers
passed while placing the cache today.
